I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly happening.
