In a unexpected crossover event that breaks traditional expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Uncovered

According to the official announcement, "An unusual confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of prohibited rituals and terrifying transformations resonate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden sect.

The mission focuses on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Extra Features

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an special katana alongside numerous objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
